Adapt a SMPTE 311m hybrid fiber cable to conventional single mode ST, LC or opticalCON DUO cable with the HYDAP series of robust in-line adapters. Converting SMPTE hybrid cables to conventional fiber cables avoids the cost of additional cables and increases the distance for reliable camera connections. Designed for harsh environments, such as sports broadcasting and stadiums, HYDAP breakout adapters feature durable aluminum housing and recessed fiber connectors to prevent damage.
Note: HYDAPS are passive SMPTE fiber breakout boxes that allow for simple integration using riser rated duplex cables. Some camera/CCU setups may require continuity between the copper conductors found within a SMPTE fiber connector to remain intact. For such scenarios, models are also available with optional power tap to interface with camera CCU: 5-Pin, 6-Pin or 8-Pin AMP CPC connector or male or female XLR wired to the copper conductors of the SMPTE hybrid connector.
